RISE is a national nonprofit organization that places and retains effective teachers in quality K-12 public schools serving low-income communities.

RISE helps teachers with high expectations for underserved students find schools with motivated teams of like-minded educators where they can make a real difference. RISE also helps those schools become more sustainable - keeping effective teachers motivated and retaining them in the classrooms they are needed most.

Teachers, are you looking for a job in a public school that has high expectations for underserved students?

Principals, do you want to connect with experienced, effective teachers seeking new jobs?

"I almost left low-income teaching because I thought all schools were the same. Though we face exactly the same challenges, RISE has connected me to a school that aspires to be great—where I am a valued member of the community working hard to get it there for my students."

—Courtney Smith, Bilingual Special
Education Teacher, Chicago, IL

RISE has a track record of success: In 2006, over 30% of teachers actively seeking new positions on the RISE Network found jobs, whereas less than 1% of candidates on general job search sites are successful.

While up to 70% of teachers in low-income communities nationwide leave within their first five years, 65% of teachers who found jobs through RISE are still working in their school, and over 70% are still teaching in public schools that serve low-income communities.
